Seeing People for Who They Are

As they approached, Jesus said, “Now here is a genuine son of Israel—a man of complete integrity.”

(John 1:47 NLT)

Jesus could see through people. John tells us, “No one had to tell him what people were like. He already knew” (John 2:25 CEV). Jesus could tell that Nathaniel was a true Israelite. He didn’t only profess to be a Jew; he lived as one. While we’ll never be able to see completely through people, God has still given His children a spirit of discernment that allows them to distinguish between good and bad company. This knowledge isn’t meant to make us proud, but to protect us from the negative influences of a bad company.  Ask Him for a discerning spirit today.

God allows us to see people for who they are.
