It Is What It Is

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be eager to prophesy, and don’t forbid speaking in tongues.

(1 Corinthians 14:39 NLT)

As I sat there listening to the discussion, I couldn’t help but join in. And while some good points were raised, I still wasn’t quite convinced that the gift of speaking in tongues was for every Christian, so the discussion carried on for quite some time. There’s a lot to be said about this topic, but Paul’s solution settled it once and for all for me. He told the Corinthian Church not to forbid speaking in tongues. God works in mysterious ways and I just have to accept it.

Sometimes we just have to accept things as they are.
