“Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10 NIV)
There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears. (Philippians 1:6 MSG)
There are people who make it their calling in life to tell others what they should do and how to do it. But since early childhood, we’re conditioned to say, “You’re not the boss of me.” Well, those same people also make it their business to tell God what to do. It’s only a matter of time before God shows them who’s boss.

The God who created the world in His infinite wisdom and knowledge, certainly doesn’t need the people He has created to tell Him how it’s done. It’s not long before He allows them to encounter disappointments in order to remind them that He really knows what He is doing. He invites us to be “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10 NIV). The apostle Paul assures us, “There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears” (Philippians 1:6 MSG). God doesn’t need our input or help. There is a reason why He is God! So let’s be still and let Him work.
