Look to Him

“Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.” (Isaiah 45:22 NIV)

The Bible constantly reminds us to turn to God, and for a good reason. The answer to our problems and pain was never in running away from Him, but towards Him. Even when we’re broken and hurting, we need to look to Him. There’s something about seeking Him that makes everything else fall into place. I don’t know about you, but I’ve needed this reminder lately. God is the source of comfort, peace and healing that we desperately need. We won’t find them in anyone or anything else because we were never meant to.

That’s the point that God makes in today’s passage when He invites us to “Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.” At a time when His ancient people were running after idols of wood, they were being reminded to turn to the one true God for their deliverance. This message still holds true today. There’s a song by Terrian called, “Honestly, We Just Need Jesus,” and I couldn’t agree more. Those who seek Him can testify that “In the Lord alone are deliverance and strength” (Isaiah 45:24). Look to the Savior today.
