Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, LORD. (Psalm 89:15 NIV)
My dad loved the outdoors. When we were little, he would often take us on nature walks. We bonded, we explored and we learned. We used to enjoy them so much that we would lose track of time. When he went to be with God, there were so many signs in nature that reminded me of his presence. They still do.

When I got older, I pursued spiritual walks with my heavenly Father. Walking with God has been just as enjoyable and rewarding. In the Psalmist’s words, “He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake” (Psalm 23:2-3). God delights in walking with His children. As today’s passage shows, we’re blessed when we embrace the light of His presence, experiencing His guidance, presence and favor. When Enoch was taken to heaven, he was remembered as someone who walked with God (Genesis 5:24). May the same be said of us.
