“Weeping may endure for a night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5). “He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.” (Matthew 28:6)
The only tomb I’ve ever gladly visited has been of the Son of God who is actually alive and well. I love to celebrate Easter because of the hope of the resurrection. And not just the resurrection on the last day but today, when after anything that could possibly kill us mentally, emotionally and spiritually, we can rise again! I’m so grateful for Jesus’ resurrection power that lives on the inside of us. Praise God!
Jesus said to [Martha], “Your brother will rise again.” Martha answered, “I know he will rise again. This will happen when people are raised from the dead on the last day.” Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even if they die. And whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” “Yes, Lord,” she replied. “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God. I believe that you are the one who is supposed to come into the world.” (John 11:23-27)
