“Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” — Habakkuk 2:3 (NIV)
After earnestly praying and begging God to answer my prayers, I eventually got what I wanted. But when I did, I felt a sense of regret—not because God answered my prayer, but because of how much I had doubted Him in the process.
I had cried, pleaded, worried, and tried to rush God’s timing, only for Him to come through in the end—like He always does. And when He did, I realized how little my doubt had accomplished. God had given me every reason to trust Him, yet I had allowed my circumstances to make me question His faithfulness.

It made me realize that what I wanted wasn’t worth doubting God over. He deserved my trust more than I wanted Him to give me what I was asking for. Now, I’m learning that I can pray for what I want without making my peace dependent on getting it. I can trust God with the yes, the no, and especially the not yet.
So, thank God for the not yet.
