When others are happy, be happy with them, and when they are sad, be sad.
(Romans 12:15 CEV)
It’s easy to rejoice or mourn with the people with whom we get along, but how about the ones with whom we don’t? Can you honestly say that you’d be happy or sad for someone who has hurt and offended you? Yet, as Christians, it’s our privillege and responsibility to identify with others in their joys and sorrows, regardless of who they are–friend or enemy. With God’s help, we can be sympathetic towards all people because that’s what He would do and that’s what He expects from us too.
Be sympathetic towards everyone.
