Don’t Ever Doubt His Love

Long ago the LORD said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.”

(Jeremiah 31:3 NLT)

When my nephew, Lucas, was diagnosed with stage four hemorrhage in the brain at birth, the doctor informed my brother and his wife of the possible implications their son could face in the future, even though they were not 100% sure it would happen. Lucas’ primary nurse reminded his mother of what the doctor had said and hesitantly asked, “Why didn’t you stop the medication?” to which the mom replied, “Because I love him.”

See, the devil tried to prevent Jesus from going to the cross to save us, but couldn’t because the Saviour loved us too much to give up on us. There’s no other explanation for why God’s only Son would die in our place other than love. So the next time the enemy tries to make you doubt God’s love for you, remind him of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. You are loved, valued and cared for by Almighty God. Don’t ever doubt His love.

By the way, Lucas is a thriving toddler, defying every negative report from the doctors! 🙂
