“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Like the ancient Israelites, many people today continue to have wrong impressions of God. They think that God is out there to get them. Yet God continues to prove them otherwise. His declaration in Jeremiah 29:11 is still true today, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” The exiled Israelites eventually realized this truth when they were restored to their homeland. When the enemy attacks you with lies about God, remember today’s passage.
God has wonderful plans in store for us.
