Light in the Darkness

Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live.

(Psalm 43:3 NLT)

“Let there be light,” was God’s first creative word in the midst of primeval darkness (Genesis 1:3 NIV). So when times of darkness and trouble were concealing God’s light from sight, the psalmist asked God, “Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me.” This has become my prayer as I journey through the dark times in my own life. And God, who is light (1 John 1:5), has always been faithful and willing to light the path ahead. As the Light of the world, He can help us navigate through the darkness that often surrounds us. Ask Him to send forth His light to guide you.

God’s light saturates the blackest darkness.
