It was now the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius, the Roman emperor. Pontius Pilate was governor over Judea; Herod Antipas was ruler over Galilee; his brother Philip was ruler over Iturea and Traconitis; Lysanias was ruler over Abilene. Annas and Caiaphas were the high priests. At this time a message from God came to John son of Zechariah, who was living in the wilderness.
(Luke 3:1-2 NLT)
As the passage above shows, the word of God came to Zechariah’s son John at an appointed time. Even though the angel had foretold John’s ministry before his birth (Luke 1:15-17), it wasn’t until the specific time indicated above that John began his ministry of preparing the way for the Messiah, who was about to make His public appearance shortly after. Today, no matter what you’re waiting for be assured that when the time is right, God will make it happen.
God’s timing is always perfect.
