From Setback to Comeback

For he was crucified in weakness, but lives by the power of God. (2 Corinthians 13:4 ESV)

Even the mighty Son of God experienced weakness while here on earth. Hanging on the cross, Jesus was too helpless to fight back shame…insult…suffering…death… Everyone watching couldn’t help but note how the One who saved others, couldn’t save Himself (Luke 23:35-36, 39). He was challenged to prove Himself once again, if He was really who He claimed to be. Little did they know that the One crucified in weakness would live by the power of God!

Has life knocked you down to the point that you can’t seem to get back up? You’re not alone. But just when you think that Heaven is silent and all of Hell is winning, God is going to shake things up and raise you up in victory. Sometimes we have to wait on God to breathe His life into us again. Just as Jesus endured His moment of weakness and experienced a resurrection, we’re promised that His power will be made perfect in our own weakness as well (2 Corinthians 12:9). Be still. God is not finished. Your resurrection is coming!
