God Answers Prayer

Everyone will come to you because you answer prayer.

(Psalm 65:2 CEV)

The one thing that keeps me going back to God’s throne is knowing that He hears and answers prayer. Now, I’ve come to learn that He doesn’t necessarily answer it my way, but He does answer. Jesus had a similar confidence. Before raising Lazarus from the dead He prayed, “I know that you always answer my prayers” (John 11:42 CEV), and the Bible tells us that Jesus was a man of prayer. He didn’t just pray on occasions, He prayed regularly, so He knew for a fact that His prayers were being answered, and it’s He who assures us that our prayers will be answered as well. “And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened” (Luke 11:9-10 NLT). Pray knowing that your prayers will be answered.

God answers prayer, just not our way.
