God’s Right Hand

God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins.

(Acts 5:31 NIV)

The Bible repeatedly states that after His ascension to heaven, Jesus was exalted to God’s own right hand–the place of honour and power. Lately, I’ve been reflecting on this truth, which previously I had just glanced over. As a result, my prayers have taken a new turn. I pray knowing that Jesus, who is seated at the place of honour and power, is able to do immeasurably more than all I ask or imagine. Allow your mind to linger on this truth the next time you pray, and watch the awesome impact that it will have on your spiritual life.

Jesus sits at God’s right hand–the place of honour and power.
