Where I’d Rather Be

A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else!

(Psalm 84:10 NLT)

I don’t know about you, but church is the one place where I’d really rather be. Ever since I was little, my mother instilled a desire in my siblings and me for God’s house and nothing has changed, except for one thing. As an adult, I have greater appreciation for church because I now realize its real purpose. It’s not about fulfilling my Christian duty or pleasing God. Rather, it’s about a desire to be in God’s presence and worship Him with other believers. When you attend church, you aren’t the one doing God a favour, but quite the contrary. I never leave church the same way I enter it because there’s something about being in God’s presence and worshipping Him that restores my joy and strength. If Jesus Himself made it His custom to go for regular worship, how much more should we!

Make it a habit to go to church regularly.
