But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Speaking of false prophets Jesus said, “By their fruit you will recognize them” (Matthew 7:16 NIV). The same is true of God’s children. Only by our fruit will people be able to tell whether we’re God’s children or not. I’m so grateful that the Holy Spirit is responsible for producing the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control in our lives because on our own we never could. Ask God to help you walk in the fruit of the Spirit, so that people will know that you’re His follower.
People will recognize us by our fruit.
