Successful Battles

Whenever the ark set out, Moses said,
“Rise up, LORD!
May your enemies be scattered;
may your foes flee before you. ”
Whenever it came to rest, he said,
“Return, LORD, to the countless thousands of Israel. ”

(Numbers 10:35-36 NIV)

We’d all be wise to pray Moses’ prayer each day. Unaware of what our Enemy, the Devil, and his troops have planned, we can begin our day by praying, “Rise up, LORD! May your enemies be scattered; may your foes flee before you,” and end our day with “Return, LORD, to the countless thousands of Israel,” with Israel representing all of God’s children. Just like Israel, we’re a people on the march, and we need God in the front line. Only He can guarantee the victory. Don’t go into your daily battles without Him.

To ensure a successful battle, we need the Lord in the vanguard.
