“I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
(Revelation 22:16 NIV)
For days, I drove by Morning Star Drive on my way to work before I realized the implication behind the name. The book of Revelation refers to Jesus as the “Morning Star.” As the forerunner of the day and the first thing that captures the eye in the morning, this beautiful star serves to remind us that Jesus should be the first object that should draw the eye and the heart on the return of each day. While I rarely had the opportunity to gaze at this star, driving by Morning Star Drive reminded me to keep my heart centered on Jesus, the bright Morning Star, as I began another busy day at work.
The morning star reminds us to stay focused on Jesus at the return of each day.
