No Pain, No Gain

Every place where you set your foot will be yours: Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the Euphrates River to the Mediterranean Sea. No one will be able to stand against you. The LORD your God, as he promised you, will put the terror and fear of you on the whole land, wherever you go.
(Deuteronomy 11:24-25 NIV)

“Every place where you set your foot will be yours,” God promised the Israelites. However, in order for them to receive this promise, they had to act on it. The book of Joshua records the various battles that the Israelites fought in order to possess the land. “Every place where you set your foot will be yours,” God promises us as well. He promises to help us achieve our goals, but we must take action. We can’t expect God to grant our desires if we aren’t willing to cooperate with Him. As the proverbial saying goes, “No pain, no gain.”

God fulfills His promises to those who act to make them happen.
