Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.”
(Matthew 2:1-2 NLT)
Many people rise to stardom and eventually fade out, all except one. One Christmas, I was drawn to something that I heard someone say and it resonated with me. He said, “We live in a day when popularity and recognition are so crucial to a healthy self-image and state of mind, but I want to let you know that there was only one star at Christmastime and that star isn’t me, the star isn’t you. It was Jesus, God’s Son.” There ought to be one star, one person, who deserves our worship and praise, and it’s to be no other than Jesus. He is the real star.
Jesus is the only One worthy of our worship and praise.
