They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
(Matthew 2:11 NLT)
One Christmas, I found myself contemplating on the well-known song, “Little Drummer Boy.” Unlike the Magi, the little boy didn’t have the “finest gifts” to offer the newborn King when he went to see Him, but he had something that pleased the King and made Him “smile” – the boy and his drum. What will you give Him? Rest assured that He isn’t looking for your finest gift. He just wants to have a relationship with you. That’s why He came.
All Jesus wants is a personal relationship with you.
