Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

It’s the beginning of another year and before we know it, it too will pass. Realizing how fleeting life can be Moses asked God to “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom”–a very wise request (perhaps even a resolution) to consider as we begin a new year. We need God’s help to live each day His way. Spending time everyday listening to God by reading His Word and talking to Him through prayer are some of the ways that we can do that. If we’re going to live through another year, we have to learn to live it well. Let’s make this year count by spending more time each day with the Son.
