“Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”
(John 8:7 NIV)
Isn’t it amazing how even the teachers of the Law and the Pharisees wouldn’t dare to throw a stone at the woman caught in adultery after being convicted of their own sin by Jesus? They were quick to point out the speck in her eye and failed to see the plank in their own eye. But lest we think that they’re the only bad guys in the story, Jesus’ response to them back then applies just as much to us today – look within you because no one is perfect and we’re all in need of grace. So before we ask Him to change (or judge) someone else, let’s ask Him to change us first. Lord, begin with me.
