By laying their hand on the head of the animal, the ancient Israelites identified themselves with the animal whose death would be accepted as atonement for them. God’s traditional method of forgiveness hasn’t changed much. Today, an offering is still needed to make atonement for our sins. When we identify ourselves with Jesus, the Lamb of God, we acknowledge that His death on the cross has provided the atonement that we need. By faith, lay your hand on this perfect offering and walk away knowing that His death has made atonement for you.
Identifying with the Lamb of God guarantees our forgiveness.
