When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the LORD.
(Exodus 34:29 NIV)
The Israelites grew accustomed to Moses’ radiant face. They knew that Moses had spoken to the Lord just by looking at the prophet’s radiant face after a meeting with God. Years later, the disciples Peter, James and John, witnessed a similar event. On a high mountain, they saw Jesus in His glorified state. “His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light” (Matthew 17:2). Someone once said that this is still the divine prescription for radiance. The time spent in God’s presence not only transforms us on the inside, but it reflects on the outside too.
Spend time in God’s presence and soon enough you’ll reflect His glory.
