Confronting Closed Doors

Paul and his friends went through Phrygia and Galatia, but the Holy Spirit would not let them preach in Asia. After they arrived in Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not let them.

(Acts 16:6-7 CEV)

As a new graduate, I was thrilled by the prospect of a new employment opportunity. I was even more excited when the request for an interview came. But when the phone call never came after an interview, I was disappointed. However, when the right job did come along, I could look back and thank God for the previous doors that He had chosen to close. Paul and his companions could relate. When God chose to close some doors, they were probably frustrated, but when the right one opened, they knew that God had their best interest at heart. I’m not sure what closed doors you’re confronting, but I do know that when the time is right, another will open.
