Confronting Our Bullies

David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.”

(1 Samuel 17:45 NIV)

No one seems to have an answer to bullying these days. Helpless kids take away their lives because they don’t know how to deal with this problem anymore, but years ago a young boy found the answer. At a time when everyone was afraid to confront the daily taunts of a giant bully, young and feeble David stepped up to the plate. David confronted and defeated Goliath, the bully. “David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.”’ David found his strength and courage in God. Trust God to help you defeat the giant bullies in your life, just as David did.

Only God can help us confront our bullies.
