Resurrected and Restored

My Bible reading plan, which I’ve been following for many years now, took me back to the story of the Shunammite woman whose son Elisha brought back to life. But this time around, God revealed something new to me. I found it interesting that her resurrection story moved the king who heard it so much that he granted her back “everything that belonged to her, including all the income from her land from the day she left the country [due to the seven year famine] until now” (2 Kings 8:6 NIV). The resurrection miracle of her son provided restoration for the entire family.

And here’s the same promise for all of us: when God brings you back to life again, He also restores everything you’ve lost along the way, so you can live and enjoy life to the fullest. Because with the resurrection will also come restoration. That’s the awesome power of His resurrection, friend!
