We must try to become mature and start thinking about more than just the basic things we were taught about Christ. We shouldn’t need to keep talking about why we ought to turn from deeds that bring death and why we ought to have faith in God…Let’s grow up, if God is willing.

It amazes and saddens me at the same time (and I believe God feels the same) how many professing Christians are still baby Christians. Their knowledge of Christ is still limited. They never seem to have gone beyond the basic teachings about Him. The author of Hebrews addressed a similar problem in his letter and he encouraged his readers to mature in their understanding of Christ. It’s God’s will that we continue to grow in the knowledge of His Son. Get to know Him better by digging deeper into His Word.
