“All people are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of the Lord endures forever.”
(1 Peter 1:24-25 NIV)
Fall is by far my favourite season of the year. There’s something about this season that just appeals to me. Perhaps it’s the cool fall breeze, colourful leaves that flutter down and the rusty warm shades of flowers. This beautiful season has also become a wonderful reminder of the fact that even though “the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” It has been a constant reminder and an encouragement to me that even though people can’t be trusted to live up to their words, God can. What He said years ago stands today and will stand forever. Trust in His enduring Word today.
You can trust the Bible–God always keeps His Word.
