Good Friday

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. (Colossians 2:15 NIV)

Every Good Friday, we celebrate Jesus’ triumph and Satan’s defeat. Boy, the devil must really hate this day! Imagine the humiliation he goes through every year when he is reminded of that first Good Friday. Not only did it change history, but it forever stripped the devil of all power. Satan was exposed for the weakling that he is. All of hell must sure be silent at this time. But this is our opportunity to shout and remind the devil and his demons of their defeat and ultimate destruction. Not just at Easter, but every day of the year. The devil can go ahead and cover his ears in frustration and anger, but nothing is going to stop me from reminding him of his defeat and terrible doom. Believer, go ahead and celebrate because your Saviour has won! The Light has overcome the darkness and Life has triumphed over death. It’s a Good Friday indeed!
