Same Power

I want you to know about the great and mighty power that God has for us followers. It is the same wonderful power he used when he raised Christ from death and let him sit at his right side in heaven. (Ephesians 1:19-20 CEV)

This has got to be one of my favorite resurrection Scriptures! We’re reminded of the “great and mighty power that God has for us followers,” and “it is the same wonderful power he used when he raised Christ from death“! Imagine the excruciating suffering and brutal death Jesus experienced. In fact it didn’t take long for Him to die on the cross because He was in so much pain. Now imagine a power so great and mighty that it would bring a person under such circumstances back to life! What’s even more amazing is that this resurrection power is available to all who believe. Paul wanted his readers – then and now – to know this powerful truth because it had changed his life and he knew that it would change theirs as well. Because of Jesus, I’m a firm believer that what doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger. No matter how many times life knocks us down, we can get back up again.

“God’s Spirit is in you and is more powerful than the one who is in the world.”

    1. Amen! I have experienced this resurrection power in many ways which I talk about in my book, “Rise Again” and in various “Easter” posts on this blog. Hope this helps! Thank you. 🙂

  1. Indeed, God’s love and grace surpases every sin and evil power in this world. May God give us the power to struggle and win with and throught Jesus.
