Jesus knew that he had now finished his work.

Hanging on the cross, Jesus knew that He had now finished the work He was sent to do and that He finished it well. Looking back over thirty years of labor as an apostle, Paul could also say with confidence, “I have fought well. I have finished the race, and I have been faithful” (2 Timothy 4:7). We’ve also been given work to do. Will we finish it well? With God’s help, we can. Ask God to enable you to finish the work that He has given you to do and to finish it well.
Work towards finishing well.
