I was then alone, so I bowed down and cried out to the LORD, “Why are you doing this? Are you so angry at the people of Jerusalem that everyone must die?”
(Ezekiel 9:8 CEV)
I just admire the boldness the prophets had in approaching God and telling Him how they really felt, and His patience in answering their questions and concerns. The truth is that God wants us to be real with Him about everything. He understands and is willing to help us. I love the times spent in God’s presence and being honest with Him about things, and the awesome peace that comes as a result. I like to think of the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus described as the comforter, teacher and helper, being there to listen and help me. Think of God as a friend, and pour your heart out to Him the way you would to a friend. You’ll feel much better.
Be real with God about everything.
