“Love is blind,” we tell ourselves when a man or woman we know can’t see the flaws in the one they love. Thankfully, it’s just a saying. I met a woman, who after telling everyone present how her partner had lied to her and eventually abandoned her and their son, confessed that she had entered into the relationship out of fear that she could end up old and alone. Sadly, that’s the attitude that many singles have today. As a result, they become involved with the wrong people. Is it any surprise that the divorce rate keeps getting higher? God knows what we need. Let’s trust Him with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. He knows best.
