“Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

I once watched a show that contained bizarre and unexplained stories. The show considered various supernatural and scientific theories that attempted to explain the bizarre events. While sitting there watching, I couldn’t help but think of God’s hand at work. No theory, no matter how plausible, could explain the survival of a man from a multi-story fall or a horrible train accident. I encourage you to read at one sitting Psalm 91. You, too, will realize what the psalmist discovered a long time ago–God Most High rescues, protects, answers, accompanies, delivers, honours and prolongs the lives of those who love Him.
God’s people have His sure promise of protection.
