Red Sea Moment

The Israelites were finally released from Egyptian bondage. It was a dream come true. They were overjoyed, thrilled. How couldn’t they be? But when they came to the edge of the Red Sea with their former slave owners pressing against them, they did what many of us would do – they panicked. Why would God set us free only to have us enslaved again, they wondered.

Sometimes in life you will find yourself on the edge. Just when you think your prayers have finally been answered and victory has been won, you find yourself facing yet another obstacle. You wonder why God would bring you this far only to leave you hanging. It is then that you will either trust that God will make a way (part the waters) or panic.

Jesus is the Way and He will make a way where there seems to be no way. He parted the sea for the Israelites so they could continue to walk in freedom. And on the other side, they praised and worshipped Him for making a way out, for bringing them into full freedom, just as He had promised.
