I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.
(John 17:11 NIV)
Good parents go the extra mile to protect their children and even then, they’re not always successful. Our heavenly Father, on the other hand, is. When Satan came before the Lord to accuse Job, the first thing Satan reminded the Lord of His was His constant protection over Job, “You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property” (Job 1:10 NLT).
Are you enjoying the Father’s protection to the point that it frustrates even the devil? Jesus prayed for your protection before going to the cross. “Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one (John 17:11 NIV). If God has been protecting you from something or someone, be wise enough to embrace His protection and thank Him for it.
Thank You, Father, for Your protection over me.
