The risen Christ spent 40 more days on earth after His resurrection instead of ascending straight to Heaven to strengthen the faith of His followers in His resurrection. But even after His ascension, He appeared to the ones who weren’t looking for Him. Listen to what Paul wrote over two decades later:
And last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born. For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. (1 Cor. 15:8-10)
The risen Lord is still revealing Himself not only to those whose faith is weak but even to the ones who don’t believe. But no one who has ever met Him has remained the same. Have you encountered Him yet?
