A Lesson From a Little Child

Jesus said, “Let the children come to me! Don’t try to stop them. People who are like these little children belong to the kingdom of God. I promise you that you cannot get into God’s kingdom, unless you accept it the way a child does.”
(Mark 10:14-15 CEV)

When I first started teaching Sunday school, I was moved by the faith that the children had to ask God for just anything. In today’s passage, Jesus tells us to learn a lesson from a little child, if we want to enter the kingdom of God. Just as children are dependent on others for their needs, we’re to rely on God for our salvation. We’re always trying to teach our children about God, but it’s about time we let them teach us something about Him too.

Child-like faith guarantees our entrance to the kingdom.
