Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
(Philippians 4:4 NIV)
From his prison cell, Paul penned the well-known verse, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” In fact, Philippians has come to be known as the epistle of joy because of its repeated emphasis on joy. If as a prisoner, Paul could find a reason to rejoice in the Lord and to encourage the Philippians to do so regardless of their circumstances, how much more could we! God’s unfailing love, promises, mercy and grace are good reasons to rejoice. He is the source of all true joy.
Thinking of who God is and what He has done should cause us to rejoice.
