Seek His Face Always

Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him.

(Psalm 105:4 NLT)

How would you feel if a friend only called when they needed you? I know I’d feel offended. When I was struggling with this issue, God reminded me of the fact that that’s how many people treat Him. They seek Him mostly during the hard times, so I had no right to feel offended. It’s still not an easy thing to accept, but I have to remind myself that if people’s relationship with God is based on an as-needed basis, then there’s nothing I can really do to make them treat me any better. So while I don’t expect a special treatment, it’s my prayer that people would seek God always, not just when they need Him.

God wants us to be in touch with Him all the time, not just when we need Him.
